AFC Wimbledon - Record Breakers

Saturday 9th May 2015
What a fantastic season AFC Wimbledon under Artemis Beartrappe truly had… not alone winning the Football League Two trophy but smashing several records along the way…

Winning the League Title along with the Johnstone's Paint Trophy for the first time in the colour history they also reached further than they have done before in the Capital one Cup and the FA Cup...

AFC Wimbledon broke several top tier football records along the way during the season… most impressively has to be a record points tally set at 112 points… 6 more points than Reading achieved when they won the Championship in the 2010/11 season...

This point total came down to the clubs great win record which start them beat the total of 33 by Doncaster Rovers in the 1946/47 while playing in the old Division 3…

After a fanatic season between the stick for AFC Wimbledon goalkeeper Callum Burton and his defence have also something to smile about… not only did Callum Single handily beat Port Vales record of 30 clean sheets in a season he managed to achieve 34 himself… he was also able to match Liverpool's 1978/79 Division 1 feat of only 16 goal conceded in a 46 game season which saw Ray Clemence MBE ever present...
