Winter Transfer Window Opens

With the transfer window opening moments ago it will be a busy time for AFC Wimbledon manager Artemis Beartrappe as he tries to hold onto his strong team while trying to strengthen them… we have a break where we think AFC Wimbledon need to do in this window…

Transfer In: With Adam Armstrong returning to Newcastle United in the summer… it looks like his form for AFC Wimbledon could propel him into the Newcastle first team but if not it will price AFC Wimbledon out from buying him… there for a striker in this window is a most… Devante Cole to son of Manchester United Andy would be a great shout… he has be fanatic the last two seasons with rivals MK Dons… but would the clubs be able to agree a fee and would the AFC Wimbledon fans accept him?

Pre Contract: AFC Wimbledon will be hoping to be promoted to the second their next year… and a must has to be a pair of good wing backs… Ben Purrington has shown he can handle lower league football… but a more experienced player will be needed in life in the Championship… Aston Villa's Joe Bennett is only 25 years old and his contract is up during the summer… he excelled at that level while his time with Middlesborough and is exactly the kind of player Artemis Beartrappe likes… the only downfall must be his wages of eight thousand pound a week which would be a club high...

Pre Contract: Another area AFC Wimbledon will have to add experience to is the midfield… two players that stand out to us are Coventry City pairing Adam Barton and John Fleck… either of these men would add that extra something and would bring great leadership to the team!!! Both men have been on fire this season and its a wonder why Coventry haven't tried to extend their contracts?

Transfer Out: The first player surely to leave is Lloyd Jones who thinks his time is up at the club… after struggling to complete only eleven appearances so far the youngster if frustrated and AFC Wimbledon manager is not one for holding players back… expect the see the young english man leave for over a hundred thousand pound...

Transfer Out: Luke Nightingale is another player who has struggled after being ever present last season… he has been only able to make one appearance in the league so far this season… he is still young but to develop as a player you need playing time so expect to see him hand in a transfer request…

Transfers Out: Another player who has struggled at the club has been Shaquille Coulthirst… he has performed well in several games throughout his AFC Wimbledon career but has failed to hold down a regular first team place… AFC Wimbledon should decide to cash in now on this player and hopefully use the money to bring in one of our above choices...
